Part-time (Evening) Lecturer (Chinese and Putonghua) [Hong Kong S.A.R.]
Major Duties:
(a)
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and
(d)
To participate in projects and functions of the Language Centre, and the campus, where necessary.
Requirements:
(a)
(i)
A recognised degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); or equivalent professional qualifications, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; OR
(ii)
A recognised degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration;
(b)
(i)
Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR
(ii)
A pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessments Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent;
(c)
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
(d)
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
(e)
Good problem-solving and time management skills; and
(f)
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Notes:
(1)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(2)
The appointee(s) of Part-time (Evening) Lecturer will be remunerated in hourly rate.
(3)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
